Festival of Whales

Festival of Whales

Though we see whales and dolphins year-round, the Dana Point Festival of Whales is an annual celebration of the majestic Gray Whale and the long journey these amazing animals take every winter.

Captain Dave’s Dolphin and Whale Safari will have daily departures for whale and dolphin watching. Visit our “dolphin deck” in Dana Point Harbor for an exclusive free viewing of Captain Dave’s award winning documentary “Wild Dolphins and Whales of Southern California”. You can enjoy a delicious sandwich and cold drink while relaxing under an umbrella with the best view in the harbor!  Get more information about our special Festival activities. For whale watching reservations book online or call (949) 488-2828 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              (949) 488-2828      end_of_the_skype_highlighting.

Throughout all four days of the Festival there are many fun events for both adults and kids such as a Festival of Whales Parade, Grunion Run/Walk, So Cal Woodies car show, fine art exhibits, Whale of a Pancake Breakfast, and much more. Full calendar of events is available here.
